The boyfriend* (let's call him "Mahal" nalang. Hehe.) and I love to eat. We are also cheapskates. Last Saturdate, we wanted to eat in a buffet somewhere where our wallets will not condemn us. Hence, we settled for Cabalen in Glorietta which, I think, is better than the other Cabalen branches. =) Also, their buffet is only Php368 per head. It's good enough for us, especially since we were craving for Filipino dishes at that moment.
The dishes they served were the usual Cabalen menu: kare-kare, dinuguan, sisig, several versions of atchara, adobo, crispy kangkong, tahong, etc. However, half-way thru our meal, they served adobong camaro. I have no idea what camaro is. After googling it, I learned that it's a cricket.

I am not very adventurous when it comes to food. The most exotic food I ate, which is 'sawa,' I ate by mistake, and only because I thought it was chicken. I can't imagine eating a frog or a field mice. However, my curiosity got the better of me, and I ate some anyway. It was delicious. Hooray! =)
Anyway, before we paid our bill, we noticed some customers (girls) slouching on their seats:
Mahal: Busog na busog na sila...
Me: Tayo din naman.
Mahal: Kanina ko pa sila napapansin na balik nang balik sa pagkain e.
Me: *burps*
Mahal: Malalakas din pala kumain ang mga babae noh? Akala ko ikaw lang!
Me: *glares*
Badum Tssss....
(Note: the boyfriend is already a fiance... but "fiance" is so... French.)
